Fro-yo Pops

With the summer weather here, I've tested out a few different summer treat recipes and found some really good ones. First up is this easy, nutritious, yummy popsicle.

My kiddos loved it. I made two versions an orange creamsicle and a unicorn one. I don't think there's anything better than fun sprinkles in a yummy summer popsicle. And of course, I loved orange creamsicles growing up so I definitely had to re-create and share this one with my kiddos. My oldest tried the orange creamsicle and she's obsessed.

Also wanted to mention I found the cutest popsicle moulds at our local dollar store so go check it out they have a whole selection of summer stuff. And now onto the recipe below.

INGREDIENTS:

- A tub of greek yogurt (whichever flavour you like. I went with vanilla)

- Silicone popsicle molds

- Sprinkles

- Orange Juice concentrate

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Fill the popsicle molds with the greek yogurt. Place in the freezer for at least an hour to harden. Dependent on your freezer it may be faster or slower to freeze. You can test with your fingers to see how firm it is.

  2. Mix 3 tbsp of orange juice concentrate with 1.5 tbsp of water (2-to-1 ratio) this is to dip the frozen yogurt into for the orange creamsicle pop.

  3. Once the yogurt is frozen let them run under warm water for about 20 seconds to loosen them out of the molds.

  4. Once the frozen yogurt comes out of the molds, you can start dipping them into the orange juice concentrate and stick them back in the fridge to harden the outside layer.

  5. Use the rest of the frozen yogurt pops and place some sprinkles on top. And place it back in the fridge to harden back up.

  6. Once the frozen yogurt pops are firm you can take them out and enjoy them.

Trust me when I say these didn't last long in the fridge at all. The best part you can make so many different variations of this. You can different flavours of yogurts, try different fruit-flavoured concentrated juice, sprinkles, the list is endless of ways you can make this easy peasy summer treat. And when I say these didn't last long is an understatement. They kept going back in the freezer for more.
