Ya know I love the easy peasy mac and cheese recipes. And this one is seriously so good and easy. My little guy especially loves mac and cheese on so much. And bonus points this recipe is so easy my little guy loves making this. So if you have a budding little chef I highly recommend giving this recipe a try.
INGREDIENTS:
2 pound elbow noodles (or any smaller sized pasta)
1 cup salted butter
2 tsp salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 tsp onion powder
6 cups milk whole
16 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS:
Fill a large pot with water, and bring to a boil. Stir in pasta; cook until al dente. Drain well.
In separate pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt and onion powder and cook 1-2 minutes.
Pour in milk and whisk until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. Turn off the heat and whisk in cheese until melted.
Pour cooked pasta into the cheese sauce and stir well to combine. Pour mac and cheese into ramikan and serve.
This recipe is always on heavy rotation, at least once a week we make this one so its kinda become second nature and we hope you all love this recipe too.
